Beltex Meats is a butcher shop located in Salt Lake City, Utah. Owned and operated by Philip Grubisa the butcher shop specializes in locally sourced meats. Beltex also sources animals that are pasture-raised and antibiotic, hormone, and GMO free.
The shop is THE place to go to in Salt Lake City for heritage breeds like Berkshire pig and Wagyu beef. The nose-to-tail approach of the business means that the specific stock at Beltex can change week to week. Call ahead to check availability.
Grubisa started life in the industry as a chef with the Waldorf Astoria, which shines through into some of the deli case preparations such as charcuterie, sauces, soups, and ready-to-cook sous vide meals.
Beltex is open to the public Thursday through Sunday and on those days are also known for their to-go sandwiches that include: Thursday (seasonal), Friday (Porchetta), Saturday (Cubano), and Sunday (Breakfast). These often sell out well before the close of day.
