Manoli’s
June 25th
Call (801) 532-3760 for reservations
The third lamb dinner of the year is coming up quickly at Manoli’s. The dinner’s showcase spectacle sees chef/owner Manoli Katsanevas spit-roast a whole lamb from Tooele County’s Lambros Farms for attendees. The dinners are offered on a first-come, first-served basis; as such, the restaurant recommends reservations to avoid missing out
Goldener Hirsch
June 20th & 25th from 6.00 p.m.
$295 per person, optional wine pairing extra
Chef Klemens Gold of RAU – a Michelin-starred Austrian restaurant – returns to the Deer Valley property for two nights this June. The event marks the start of a new “Summer Solstice Dinner Series” at Goldener. Gold’s approach for the two nights will be “rooted in alpine foraging and seasonality, interpreting local ingredients through the culinary traditions of Europe’s high country.” Follow-up events will occur in July and September.
Waldorf Astoria
June 20th, 6.00 p.m.
$290 per person, includes cocktail pairings
Guest Chef Gustavo Pinet and mixologist David Hernandez – both of the Los Cabos Pedregal WA – will head to the Park City property for this one-off dinner. Local exec Stuart Roger will join them as they prepare a five-course “fire-led tasting menu” at the Powder restaurant.
The restaurant writes, “The refined flavors of Los Cabos meet the Wasatch at elevation. Agave cocktail pairings available. Following dinner, continue the evening poolside with a 9 pm Summer Solstice fire dancer performance celebrating the longest day of the year. “Dinner includes cocktail pairings in the ticket price.”

Hi, I’m Stuart, nice to meet you! I’m the founder, writer and wrangler at Gastronomic SLC. I’m a multiple-award winning journalist and have written in myopic detail about the Salt Lake City dining scene for the better part of seventeen years.
I’ve worked extensively with multiple local publications from Visit Salt Lake to Salt Lake Magazine, not least helped to consult on national TV. Pause those credits, yep, that’s me! I’m also a former restaurant critic of more than five years, working for the Salt Lake Tribune. I’m largely fueled by a critical obsession with rice, alliteration and the use of big words I don’t understand. What they’re saying about me: “Not inaccurate”, “I thought he was older”, “I don’t share his feelings”.
