Burgers to bao – what Utah’s food writers have been covering this month

Felt Bar & Eatery - beef tartare with bone marrow

In the Salt Lake Magazine Lydia Martinez waxes lyrical about Felt’s unique bone marrow dish – one I also fell head over marrow in love with when I first stopped by; read about that in this story from last Spring. Martinez also runs the ryle over a duo of spicy dishes and looks at a trio of long-lived classics. Meanwhile Avrey Evans takes a look at Bar A Vin (SLC), and Greg Brinkman runs the rule over some of the best fish & chips in town.

Ted Scheffler in Utah Stories writes about Matteo (Downtown SLC) after their recent move to the city, as well as Kuchu Shabu (Sugar House). Erin Dixon also checks out House Of Corn (Downtonw SLC).

In the City Weekly, Alex Springer has an eclectic quintet. MOOYAH (Sandy), Zhu Ting Ji (Taylorsville), West Valley Carnitas (WVC), Bobby’s Burgers (Orem), and Bhansa Ghar (SLC) are all featured. Yet another reminder from me that Bhansa Ghar is one of the very best South Asian businesses in town.

Rouding things out, Les Roka of our sister publication The Utah Review, talks about the Pho King film (remember this deep dive into the local pho scene?), Katie Hatzfeld of the Park Record writes about the opening of Le Depot (Park City), and Meg Walter in the Deseret News talks about the best chips and salsa in town.
