Tickets are now on sale for what for some is arguably the showpiece food and wine event of the summer. You can check out our previews of the event in 2014 and 2013 for more background, but suffices to say, the 2016 event looks set to be just as spectacular as ever.
This years event will be held Sunday, August 7th and runs from noon until 4 p.m. Held at the ultra-scenic Solitude resort, your ticket allows you to wander and sample savory and sweet selections from more than 50 of Utah’s top chefs. This year why not make a weekend of the event as well. Solitude resort is offering a special rate for the Inn At Solitude. Rates are just $99 per night rate, available August 4th through 8th.
Stay the night before and enjoy dining at the adjacent Honeycomb Grill; or perhaps stay the night of the event, and rather than tackling the drive home, retire to a room just footsteps away. Or, stay as long as you can, and enjoy the peace, quiet and respite from the Summer. They don’t call it Solitude for nothing.
Tickets are on sale right now and are worth every last penny.
Prices are $105 for general admission and $140-$150 for reserved seating. Reserved seating ensures access to the central tented area, early entry and a selection of premium wines; take it from me, you’ll be glad of the seat and shade after hours on your feet!
Hi, I’m Stuart, nice to meet you! I’m the founder, writer and wrangler at Gastronomic SLC. I’m a multiple-award winning journalist and have written in myopic detail about the Salt Lake City dining scene for the better part of seventeen years.
I’ve worked extensively with multiple local publications from Visit Salt Lake to Salt Lake Magazine, not least helped to consult on national TV. Pause those credits, yep, that’s me! I’m also a former restaurant critic of more than five years, working for the Salt Lake Tribune. I’m largely fueled by a critical obsession with rice, alliteration and the use of big words I don’t understand. What they’re saying about me: “Not inaccurate”, “I thought he was older”, “I don’t share his feelings”.
