In light of the current Covid-19 outbreak many restaurants in Utah are retooling their operations in order to stay afloat in these extremely tough conditions. This might include curbside pickup or it might be a new delivery service – direct to your door. Obviously many businesses are already listed on popular services like DoorDash (see bottom of page) but many are now starting a service themselves, to both retain more vital revenue, and keep employees in work.
The following are all the direct restaurant delivery services we know off in Utah. Call the restaurant in question to place a delivery order. We will be updating this list daily as we hear more.
Arempa’s – This downtown Salt Lake City South American restaurant is offering free delivery within city limits (7 miles). Orders of $25 minimum. Menu.
Canton Village – free delivery within 10 miles. Open seven days a week. Link.
Caputo’s – The award winning market and deli are now offering their amazing sandwiches direct via delivery. Their team will have a stellar sub in your hands within 45 minutes of ordering. The cost? A measly five dollars per order. Delivery is offered from the downtown and Holladay locations.
Capriotti’s – national sub chain offering free delivery until April 12th. More info.
Chefpanzee – This local app-based delivery services provides foods from a number of small independent businesses around town – with a focus on interesting international cuisines. Not only has the service now announced free delivery on all orders, but the app will now allow you to make donations to the business in question, at the point of order. Chile-Tepin – the popular downtown Mexican eatery has launched their own delivery option. The restaurant will deliver within 8 miles for $1.00 per mile. There’s a free bag of chips & pint of salsa for any to-go or delivery order too. Menu.
Copper Onion – Downtown eatery, details on delivery coming shortly.
Cucina – Avenues New American. From Yelp: Call us at 801.322.3055 for To Go orders and free Delivery!! Starting tomorrow and for the foreseeable future we will be open for curbside pickup and free home delivery.
Curry Pizza – West Valley pizza parlor with an Indian flavor twist. Free delivery. Menu.
David’s Kitchen – South Salt Lake Chinese, delivery TBA.
El Paisa Grill – Mexican eatery with multiple locations. More info.
Five Sushi Brothers – Sushi delivered right into the small hours and right to your door. You can order Five Sushi Brothers creative maki rolls via their website and have them delivered from either their SLC or Provo locations, depending on your location. Menu.
Free Wheeler Pizza – delivery as usual from this local group.
Himalayan Kitchen – call for free delivery.
Hruska’s Kolaches – minimum order of six kolaches, next day delivery. More info.
Joe Morley’s BBQ – Midvale BBQ. From Yelp: We’ll deliver lunch right to your door! FREE DELIVERY for orders of $40 or more. To your house, your office, your RV, or the park. Applies to Midvale, Sandy, West Jordan, Murray. If you’re a little further out, give us a call and we’ll make you a great deal. Mariscos Los Mochis – West Valley Mexican eatery with seafood specialties. Deliveries to:

Nepali Chulo – West Valley based Nepali restaurant now offers free delivery and 10% off, 5 miles radius from the restaurant. More info.
New Golden Dragon – One of my own staple restaurants to order delivery food in Salt Lake City from. Great Chinese cuisines that offers standard Americanized fare everyone will enjoy but also plenty of more exotic selections. My personal favorite? The funky and aromatic Salted Fish and Chicken Fried Rice.
Osteria Amore – This new Italian spot that replaced Aristo’s up by the U of U has just started offering delivery direct from the restaurant. The delivery service is available within five miles of the business. Menu.
Pizza NoNo – gourmet pizza spot in the 9th nd 9th area. For deliveries call 801-230-8090. Via Yelp. Menu.
Taco Loco – What about tacos brought to you on demand whenever you like? Yeah, I’m sold too! Taco Loco are a delivery only service that offers free delivery around SLC with a minimum $20 taco order. More info here.
Provisions – Tyler Stoke’s chef driven menu is now available for free delivery within three miles of the restaurant and fulfilled directly by the restaurant’s staff. Menu.
The Pie – Now with locations all over the valley, including a recent opening in South Salt Lake, this SLC institution will satisfy your pizza cravings seven days a week. The Salsa Queen – free salsa and chips with same day delivery to the home. More info.
Soy’s Sushi – Midvale sushi spot. Via Yelp: Due to the virus we will no longer be doing in house dine-ins till further notice. Restaurant delivery in Salt Lake City
All the above listed restaurants are currently operating their delivery services using their own staff and vehicles. Of course, there are many many more businesses that deliver in Utah. Many rely on the larger national platforms. Here are all the delivery platforms available in Utah as of March 2020:
This is our current favorite restaurant delivery platform in Utah. Postmates promises to ensure any additional tip you add through the app, goes directly to your driver. While the restaurant selection is a little smaller than others, there are fun feature like the ‘party mode’ that offers free delivery at times, plus prices are fair and no nonsense.
DoorDash hit the SLC dining scene in 2017 and is quickly becoming THE restaurant food delivery service in town. Not only does the service deliver from the most extensive selection in Salt Lake City, the fees are ultra low too. The service offers just about every cuisine you can imagine, and delivers right to your door or desk.
Another national operation that offer an iPhone and Android app for the truly couch embedded diner. The service operates seven days a week and hours are based around restaurant opening times. Delivery costs vary but expect to pay $2.99 for restaurants close to your location rising to $7.99-$9.99 for restaurants several miles away.
Grub Hub announced they will defer all commissions from restaurants during the Covid-19 outbreak.
Get Uber to bring restaurant food right to your doorstep. UberEATS state their average order to delivery time is just 35 minutes.
Wasatch Food Rush
