Every Pie and Beer special for Pioneer Day 2025

Now more than a decade old, the yearly Pioneer (Pioneer / PIe N Beer – get it?) Day festivities are back again, and this year the city’s biggest bash is moving to new digs; the Salt Lake City Ballpark Stadium (77 W 1300 South) to be precise.

Local breweries will be paired with bakers, restaurants, and chefs to create one-of-a-kind pie and beer pairings – with more than 8,000 slices set to be served according to organisers. For $30, attendees receive a pie punch card with six uses – each punch yielding a duo of 4 ounces of beer and a small slice of pie (both savory and sweet) Full pours will be available for sale separately, as will a $5 admission option for those not partaking. More than three dozen names are expected to take part. On the food front:

2 Row Brewing – Savory handpies ($9): Knock Off Pieeef, Portobello + Boursin, Shepherd’s Pie. Sweet 4” pies ($7): Mixed Berry White Chocolate, Chocolate Silk, Key Lime. $4 draft specials, $6 themed shots, $10 themed cocktails.

Chappell Brewing – An all-ages recent running 2.00 – 8.00 p.m. The Dang Brothers Pizza Truck will be offering pizza, and Grandma Swan’s BBQ will also be on site, serving up Sweet Potato Pie and Southern Peach Pie (as well as BBQ). Chappell themselves will offer a Smoked Pumpkin Pie, Strawberry Rhubarb Pie, and Apple Pie with Cheddar.

Crossroads Bar & Grill – 30% off all pizza and $5 mini pitchers.

Denny’s – A quartet of locations (Midvale, Lake Point, Lehi, and Tooele) will offer a free slice of pie with any entree purchased Thursday during regular hours. Dine in only.

Emigration Cafe – Four house-made pies with selected pairings include: Cherry Pie with UTOG Kolsch ($12), Apricot Pie with Proper Yacht Rock ($11), Torta Rustica with Red Rock Tripel ($20), Torta Di Carne with Salt Flats Scotch Ale ($21)

Epic Brewing – Free slices of key lime pie with every pour of the brand-new Key Lime Pie Cream Ale while supplies last. Noon – 9.00 p.m.

Fisher Brewing / Central 9th – The popular brewery will welcome the C9th team, who will be serving up a Mixed Berry Pie, C9 Banana Pudding and Cream, an Orange Cream, and a Peach with Brown Sugar Streusel. Noon until gone.

Flanker – Specials include slices of apple, cherry, or peach pie topped with ice cream for $7. Pie shooters featuring apple, blackberry, and peach flavors for $12. $5 select drafts.

Hopkins Brewing – The Sugar House brewery will host Pies The Limit which will be serving up several pies: Blueberry Sour Cream, Mango Key Lime, Dubai Chocolate – all priced $10.

Hyatt Regency / Contribution – Serving a Bourbon Pecan Pie served alongside Polygamy Porter from Wasatch Brewery. The combo is available for $14, or guests can enjoy the pie on its own for $8.

Millcreek Common – 6.00 – 9.00 p.m. free pie slices and root beer floats.
