As Gastronomic Salt Lake City is now roughly two and half years old we thought it was time for a bit of spring cleaning. As of today you should hopefully see our brand new design for the website. WE love the new look and think you will too. Not only is the new layout and design easier on the eyes, but it is more organised too.
For all you smart phone owners out there, a mobile version of the site is now live too. Just head to the website in your phone’s web browser and you should see our slimline mobile version load automagically.
For those interested, a lot changed behind the scenes as well. We have upgraded our hosting platform, to a VPS from the good folks at 34SP.com. This should give the site a pleasant speed bump to go with the facelift.

Hi, I’m Stuart, nice to meet you! I’m the founder, writer and wrangler at Gastronomic SLC. I’m a multiple-award winning journalist and have written in myopic detail about the Salt Lake City dining scene for the better part of seventeen years.
I’ve worked extensively with multiple local publications from Visit Salt Lake to Salt Lake Magazine, not least helped to consult on national TV. Pause those credits, yep, that’s me! I’m also a former restaurant critic of more than five years, working for the Salt Lake Tribune. I’m largely fueled by a critical obsession with rice, alliteration and the use of big words I don’t understand.
