Family meal deals to go

During the current Covid-19 outbreak many restaurants are remaking their menus and offering special family meal deals; special to go creations that can feed whole families. Check out our ongoing coverage of every update in Utah here. The following is a list of all the family meal deals we’ve heard of during this crisis. Please contact the restaurant directly to ensure the offer is still valid.

Afghan Kitchen

Offering a trio of options with the largest combo providing 15 beef dumplings, chicken palow, shank qurma, chicken qurma, eggplant and lentils for $46. Selections come fully cooked and frozen. Link.

Bangkok Terrace 

This downtown SLC spot are offering what they call Thai food meal prep for $8 a box. Free delivery to your doorstep for order $40 or more. Salt Lake Downtown, North Salt Lake and Bountiful. More info here. Dishes include

Call for more details as this one looks like changing on a daily basis, but last week the Hotel Monaco located restaurant was offering a family four course meal for just $40. More info.

Cancun Cafe

A pound of meat, a dozen corn tortillas, 16 ounces of rice and beans. Guac, sour cream and pico – $20. There’s a reason they call it the value pack. More info.

Cafe Sabor

Now offering a taco survival kit priced $35 (four people) and $70 (eight people). More info.

Cluck Truck

Check out the cluck box and cluck bucket if you’re looking to get your chicken fix at fabulous prices. More info.

Comfort bowl

This food truck is offering a family dinner package (3 meals in a mix and match format) for $40. Options include:

  • Alaskan pollock fish meal
  • Chicken katsu
  • Grill chicken & shrimp
  • Calamari combo meal

Each meal comes with main dish, 2 piece potstickers, rice and Thai Salad. Choose from sauces including roasted garlic & ginger aioli, Thai sweet & spicy and teriyaki sauce. Menu to change weekly. More info.

Cucina

Up in the Avenues, chef Joey Ferran is offering take and make pizza and pasta kits. More info.

Curry Up Now

Packages designed to feed families of 4, 6, or 8 (for $50, $72, and $96, respectively) and come with a choice between four family-style entree combos or the burrito pack. Families can choose from a variety of sides like daal lentils and turmeric rice, plus samosas, chutneys, mac n cheese, and cookies. The new Family Meals are available for takeout or delivery and can be ordered online or through the Curry Up Now app. Regular menu for reference.

DaKine Grindz

Offering daily options, todays for example includes: 4 chicken katsu, 4 pork or 4 steak kabobs, rice or green salad, macaroni or noodles for $30. More info.

Einstein Bagels

A trio of new options that bring a little entertainment to the kitchen:

  • Hot & ready brunch box. Feeds six to eight people, $29.99. A made-to-order box includes six fresh-baked bagels, one tub of shmear, three egg sandwiches cut in half (one Farmhouse, two Bacon & Cheddar), four blueberry muffins and four twice-baked hash browns.
  • Take & make pizza bagel kit. Feeds six people, $9.99. The kit includes all of the ingredients needed to make six cheese pizza bagel slices and six pepperoni pizza bagel slices.
  • Take & make bagel deli kit. Feeds six people, $29.99. This kit includes six fresh-baked bagels, plenty of turkey and ham, cheddar cheese, fresh-cut tomato, onion and lettuce, and comes complete with mayonnaise and mustard packets.

El Farol

The take out emergency pack includes 10 tacos or enchilada or burritos with rice, beans, chips and salsa. Cost is $29.99. More info.

El Mexiquense

All three locations of the Mexican restaurant are supplying new family meals. Priced at $25.00 three options include:

  • The Alambre Family Meal
  • The Enchilada Family Meal
  • The Burrito Family Meal 

The trio all come with rice, beans, chips , salsa , corn or flour tortillas and a 2 liter Coke or Fanta. More info here.

Este Pizza

This SLC pizza spot is offering a pizza kit to go. Make your own delicious pizzas at home. 2 doughs, sauce and cheese for $25. More info.

Gourmandise

Family meals change daily. Example includes grilled chicken, pasta with butternut sage cream sauce, roasted veggies, fresh-baked rolls, and frozen chocolate chip cookie dough. Feeds 4-6.  Link.

J. Dawgs

Take home DIY dinner includes 6 dawgs for $20. All sauce, condiments, and buns for a fun meal. Cook on the grill, under the broiler, in a fry pan, or over the fire. ”. More info.

Jurassic Tacos

To go tray includes 1.5lbs meat, corn tortilla, grilled onions, fresh toppings, $19.95. More info.

Maria’s Mexican Grill

The Millcreek Mexican restaurant is now offering a family pack for $34.99 that comes with grilled chicken fajitas, rice, beans, salad, sour cream, fresh guacamole, pico de gallo, corn (12 ) or homemade flour tortillas (6), French fries and chips and salsa. More info.

Marriott City Creek

The downtown SLC hotel are also getting in on the family meal deals. Moreover, $10 of all the the revenue generated will go towards a grocery fund for staff currently out of work (about 150 currently).  Meal deal options include 

  • Smoked Southern pulled pork, creamy mac and cheese, cole slaw, green bean casserole, chocolate cake
  • Chicken parmesan, Mediterranean cous cous, roasted squash medley, dinner rolls, tiramisu
  • Braised short rib pasta, ziti pasta sauce, garlic bread, Caesar salad, tiramisu

Mediterranean Market And Deli

The State Street sandwich spot is offering a ciao dinner kit for either 2 or 4 People, $8.50 per person. Options change daily, example includes cheese ravioli with a sausage basil marinara  More info.

Moore’s Family Restaurant

Ogden based cafe offering combo meals for 2-6 people. Largest combination deal for dix comes with scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, choice of 12 pancakes or 12 pieces French toast, choice of bacon or sausage (or combination of both). $37.99.  Link.

Mr Charlie’s Chicken Fingers

25 fingers, bulk fry, 5 coleslaw, 5 toasts, 5 sauces, $43.99. Feeds 5. More info.

Nomad Eatery 

Justin Soelberg’s North Salt Lake restaurant has started to offer “Family Meal Fridays”. The business writes, “because it’s been a rough week and you all deserve a delicious comfort meal at home with the family these days. We’re offering a roast chicken dinner for 4-5 people which includes a full roasted chicken, mashed potatoes, turkey gravy, roast veggies, arugula salad, and chocolate chip cookies. $50 Taking orders today through Friday (cut off is 1 pm Friday) cooked and ready to go for pick up Friday after 5. Oak Wood Fire Kitchen

Offering a family meal of: 3lbs smoked brisket, fries, and house salad for $36. Added BBQ pork ribs with pomegranate bbq sauce, $13, feeds 4-6. Source: SLC Foodie.

Pat’s BBQ

Selections changing daily. One example is the Sloppy Howie Kit that comes with shredded brisket and ground sirloin sloppy joe style. Comes with 8 buns, cheese, pasta salad, chips, and a 2 liter soda. Serves 8 $25 including tax.  Link.

Pepe’s Grill 

The Spanish Fork restaurant is offering Family trays that feed four. Options include nacho tray (with side of rice, beans, 2 large drinks and 4 pieces of churros), burrito tray (with side of beans, rice, chips and salsa , 2 large drinks and 4 pieces of churros) and street taco tray (12 street tacos with side of rice, beans, chips and Salsa, 2 large drinks and 4 pieces of churros). Pizzeria Limone

Offering a unique pizza kit thats equal parts delicious and fun. The Pizza Kits will only be available at 3 stores: Fort Union, Sandy and The District. Three kits are on offer starting from $18. The instructions on how to prepare and cook the pizzas will be attached to your pizza box. More info.

Porch

Over in Daybreak, this eatery is now offering a selection of hearty meals starting at $40. More info.

R&R BBQ

Family packs are now available from the award winning Q spot. Stop by or call your local store to place your order! More info. Offer Includes

Offering a family meal deal called the La Caja. $19.99 includes rice, beans, toppings and meat, feeds four.  More info.

Stanza

Family meals are priced $30 and $60 for families of two and four respectively. Monday Friday noon – 7 p.m. Three course for each person. Menu.

Stratford Proper

A trio of hearty family deals starting at $36. Options include:

  • Pasta meals with spaghetti, chicken Alfredo, tomato pesto, mushroom fettuccine, mac & cheese
  • Pizza and pasta meals
  • Family pizzas
  • Soup and salad dinner combos

Has previously been offering veggie boxes to go. Unsure if this is still being offered, but more info here and here.

Wasatch Broiler

The family feast runs through till April 30th and comes with a half rack of baby back ribs, 2 steak kabobs, 2 chicken kabobs, rice and potatoes. More info.
