BGR
Amidst the continuing revamp of Sugar House, this relative newcomer is becoming part of the new fixture and fittings of the trendy area. December 18th sees the gourmet burger concept celebrate one year in business – usually the toughest of times even without being surrounded by endless construction.
To mark the first year around the sun and surviving building crews aplenty, the restaurant is giving back to the community. Every Wednesday from November 14th through December 19th, the business will give 15% of sales back to a select non profit. Follow the business on Facebook to keep track.
And be sure to stop by and sample their featured November burger, pictured above; the Thanksgiving On A Bun special sees a turkey burger loaded up with cranberry sauce, gravy and stuffing. It goes without saying, take every advantage to eat gravy and stuffing while you can, in whatever format you can; because come January you’ll be crying about resolutions and healthy things. Just trust me on this.

Food talk
Want to discuss this post or the SLC food scene in general? Check out our Facebook group and come talk with other likeminded SLC foodies.
Hi, I’m Stuart, nice to meet you! I’m the founder, writer and wrangler at Gastronomic SLC. I’m a multiple-award winning journalist and have written in myopic detail about the Salt Lake City dining scene for the better part of seventeen years.
I’ve worked extensively with multiple local publications from Visit Salt Lake to Salt Lake Magazine, not least helped to consult on national TV. Pause those credits, yep, that’s me! I’m also a former restaurant critic of more than five years, working for the Salt Lake Tribune. I’m largely fueled by a critical obsession with rice, alliteration and the use of big words I don’t understand. What they’re saying about me: “Not inaccurate”, “I thought he was older”, “I don’t share his feelings”.
Want to know more? This is why I am the way I am.
