The Forbes Five-Star Stein Eriksen Lodge holiday display, now in its 22nd year, features a 12-foot-long gingerbread firetruck for guests and visitors to admire. Constructed by Executive Pastry Chef Jeremy Garcia and his team of pastry artists, the firetruck is parked alongside the 32-foot-tall Christmas tree as part of the Lodge’s festive holiday décor. The display was unveiled today, Nov. 30, with members of the Park City Fire Department.

Standing five feet tall, four feet wide, and 12 feet long, the festive firetruck includes 190 pounds of gingerbread, 120 pounds of icing, 10 pounds of chocolate, 400 egg whites, and three total pounds of cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and nutmeg. “Firetrucks have a way of lighting up the child in all of us – the awe, inspiration, and nostalgia – and we’re excited to bring it to life for the holiday season,” said Chef Garcia. “This also serves as a great opportunity to partner with our local fire department and honor our brave firefighters for their incredibly selfless service.”

Nobody makes the holiday gift-giving season more fun than the Outlets at Traverse Mountain. In addition to the tallest fresh-cut Christmas tree in the state, shoppers can shop a special holiday market featuring local makers and tour its Gingerbread Village with a new 30-foot-tall gingerbread inspired tower.

The holiday market is hosted by Market Lane, a pop-up market that brings local small shops together to promote and sell their handmade, curated goods. Located in the grand lobby mezzanine, more than 65 vendors will be at this year’s market and a central checkout makes it convenient for shoppers. There are new vendors each weekend offering jewelry, home décor, clothing, toys, art, treats and more. Market Lane is open every weekend beginning Friday, Nov. 17 until Saturday, Dec. 23.

Visitors can also tour Gingerbread Village, where gumdrop wishes and lollipop dreams come true. Located in the Grand Lobby, the gingerbread houses feature different décor and themes and are perfectly sized for those visitors curious about what the inside of a gingerbread house looks like. New this year is a 30-foot-tall festive gingerbread-inspired tower. Gingerbread Village is open from Nov. 18 through Dec. 31.

“The holiday season is our favorite season at Outlets at Traverse Mountain, and we’re thrilled to present a season of festivity for all who visit us,” said Becky Pugmire, senior marketing manager, Outlets at Traverse Mountain.

Utah’s tallest fresh-cut Christmas tree, the Gingerbread Village, Santa’s Cottage – located at the west side of the shops, near H&M and Ghost Boards – and the hometown holiday market are open for visits throughout the holiday season. For more information, visit OutletsAtTraverseMountain.com.
