Z’Tejas Annual Tequila Dinner
Z’Tejas is hosting its annual Tequila Dinner on Thursday, Dec. 6 at 7 p.m. The menu will feature the following:
For the Table
Shrimp and Rockfish Ceviche: Marinated in citrus with tomatoes, onion, chiles, cucumber and herbs. Served in crispy wonton cups with fried avocado slices.
Paired with Herradura Blanco Sangritas: Tomato juice, orange Juice, lime juice, Herradura agave nectar, Tabasco sauce, Worcestershire sauce and smoked paprika.
Spicy Walnut Spinach Salad
Paired with Dobel Diamond Smash
Cochinita Pibil: Local pork braised with achiote, orange, lime and spices. Served with house-made tortillas, chipotle black beans, pickled jalapenos, red onions and roasted tomatillo salsa.
Paired with Dobel Diamond Smash: Maestro Dobel tequila, Herradura agave nectar, muddled lemon and mint leaves.
Ancho Chile and Chocolate Crème Brulee: Served with a scoop of local vanilla ice cream topped with a rhubarb and strawberry compote.
Paired with Tequila Hot Chocolate: Herradura Anejo tequila, Mexican chocolate, cinnamon, orange zest, heavy cream and nutmeg.
Cost for the Tequila Dinner is $60 per person (prices include taxes and gratuity, must be pre-paid and all diners must be 21 years of age or older). The full bar menu will also be available upon request. For reservations, call the restaurant at (801) 456-0450 and ask for the working manager.
