Zucca Trattoria Market & Deli Brings a Taste of Italy to Northern Utah
Zucca Trattoria has now opened the Zucca Market & Deli. Located inside Zucca Trattoria, the Market & Deli offers a selection of Italian and Southern European foods in Northern Utah. Fine Italian, French and Spanish imports such as olive oils, pastas, sauces, and chocolates are now being offered to provide an authentic European food experience to Northern Utah residents.
The meats and cheeses available at the Zucca Market & Deli are provided by Tony Caputo’s Market & Deli – Salt Lake City’s leading purveyor of distinctive Regional Italian and Southern European foods. Cheese aficionados will appreciate the vast selection of cheeses directly from Caputo’s state of the art cheese cave—one of only a handful in the country.
Zucca Market & Deli offers a selection of sandwiches and salads created by Chef Elio, such as the popular “Zucca” sandwich that includes Prosciutto, mortadella, salami, provolone, lettuce, tomatoes, balsamic and olive oil.
“We wanted to create a place where people could experience the great flavors from Italy and Southern Europe,” said Elio Scanu, Chef and owner of Zucca Trattoria. “Whether it’s one of our sandwiches with authentic meats and cheeses or a traditional caprese salad, Zucca Market & Deli offers a taste of authentic Italian food.”

In fact, if you ask to be out in an hour and you’re not, I’ll buy you lunch,” said Tuscany co-owner Mark Eaton. “To Go” box lunches are also available for that perfect picnic or business lunch in the boardroom.
Offerings for “guaranteed in and out in an hour” dining include a smoked salmon salad sandwich with summer slaw, foccacia and soup for $10 and Spaghetti with meatballs in marinara Sauce for $12.

Hi, I’m Stuart, nice to meet you! I’m the founder, writer and wrangler at Gastronomic SLC. I’m a multiple-award winning journalist and have written in myopic detail about the Salt Lake City dining scene for the better part of seventeen years.
I’ve worked extensively with multiple local publications from Visit Salt Lake to Salt Lake Magazine, not least helped to consult on national TV. Pause those credits, yep, that’s me! I’m also a former restaurant critic of more than five years, working for the Salt Lake Tribune. I’m largely fueled by a critical obsession with rice, alliteration and the use of big words I don’t understand. What they’re saying about me: “Not inaccurate”, “I thought he was older”, “I don’t share his feelings”.
