Full-service restaurant license (beer, wine, liquor)
Eight full-service licenses were doled out this month. Given the relatively healthy balance of overall licenses now available (due to recent years’ tweaking of population/license ratios), no information was given on the precise number. As of July, though, it hovered a little over the 70 mark. The following businesses received one this month:
- Spitz, St. George (street cart doner pictured top)
- Full House Asian Bistro, Park City
- Arigato Sushi, West Jordan
- Smokin’ Bones BBQ, Bountiful
- Parcerito Parrilla Colombiana, South Jordan
- Villa del Sol, Taylorsville
- Wasatch Mountain Lodge, Brighton
- Johnny Mac’s Sports Bar & Grill, Cedar City
Limited-service restaurant license (beer, wine)
With three more businesses receiving this more limited license type:
- Hot Pot X, Ogden
- Arteesian, Moab
- Banana Blossom Thai Cuisine, St. George
Bar licenses
29 bar licenses were available in the state coming into the meeting, with only two applicants applying for one; both were successful :
- The Revival Pub, Milford
- Lagoon Corporation Inc., Farmington
Other items
Mountain Mikes Pizza (Saratoga Springs) and Happy Camper Deli (West Jordan) both received beer-only restaurant licenses, while Mount Naomi Winery (Hyde Park) was issued a duo of winery manufacturing license and Type 5 package agency license.

Hi, I’m Stuart, nice to meet you! I’m the founder, writer and wrangler at Gastronomic SLC. I’m a multiple-award winning journalist and have written in myopic detail about the Salt Lake City dining scene for the better part of seventeen years.
I’ve worked extensively with multiple local publications from Visit Salt Lake to Salt Lake Magazine, not least helped to consult on national TV. Pause those credits, yep, that’s me! I’m also a former restaurant critic of more than five years, working for the Salt Lake Tribune. I’m largely fueled by a critical obsession with rice, alliteration and the use of big words I don’t understand. What they’re saying about me: “Not inaccurate”, “I thought he was older”, “I don’t share his feelings”.
