BTG Wine Bar (pictured top) will host a wine dinner with winemaker Eric Wilson of Longoria Wines in April. Longoria Wines was established in 1982 in Santa Barbara California by Rick & Diana Longoria. In 2022, the winery changed hands to another couple with similar visions to continue this family-run winery and Eric Wilson is excited to take the reins from his friend and mentor Rick Longoria.

The cost for the evening is $60 for food and $60 for the optional wine pairing. Call (801) 359 2814 for reservations.

Executive Chef Nick Zocco will team up with Post Office Place’s Brendan Kawakami for the following six-course dining experience:

March 30th, 6.00 p.m.

Special guest Ferran Ribalta of Uva Felices & El Hombre Bala will be in attendance at this event, at the 15th & 15th neighborhood restaurant. A limited number of seats are available for a multi-course sampling of the wineries’ pours. The cost for the event is $100 ($45 food, $55 wine) with the tasting menu is as follows:

As the title sponsor of this year’s Park City Wine Festival, the Pendry will host the 3-day event’s signature Grand Tasting, featuring more than 100 wineries and a full slate of live music performances on the Pendry Plaza (pictured above).

“We are thrilled to welcome wine lovers to Pendry Park City to enjoy Park City Wine Festival’s global selection of curated wines,” said John Rolfs, Pendry Park City General Manager. “Pendry Plaza’s sprawling outdoor atmosphere is the perfect place to soak up a beautiful spring weekend in the mountains.”   Park City Wine Festival events at Pendry Park City include:

Early access tickets (1.00 – 4.00 p.m.) are priced at $184 and general admission tickets (1.30 p.m. – 4.00 p.m.) are priced at $149. Guests are invited to “sip, swirl, and savor wines from all over the world while taking in scenic mountain views from Pendry Plaza, dancing to live music, and snacking on delectable small bites. More than 100 wineries will feature everything from fruit-forward sauvignon blancs and pinots, to rich cabernets and zinfandels. Hand crafted cocktails and local beer will also be available. Tickets include wine, cocktails, and small bites.”

East meets West wine lunch

April 5th, noon – 1.30 p.m.

Also at the Pendry, this lunch menu which pairs the cuisine of chef Kevin Lee (of KITA, the resort’s Japanese restaurant) with exceptional wines from Chateau Kamnik, a hidden gem from North Macedonia. The event features speaker Kaylon Alexander, a WSET Level 2 certified professional representing AG Mac wines.  Tickets are priced at $130 per person. Menu as follows:

  • Sesame Kale Salad, radish, puffed quinoa, rye, crouton
    • Viognier, Skopje, North Macedonia
  • 8 oz NY Steak, charred broccolini, Japanese ginger garlic steak sauce, OR
  • Miso Chilean Sea Bass, ponzu, green onions, daikon puree

Riverhorse On Main

April 3rd, 7.00 – 9.30 p.m.

Toasting the first night of the Park City Wine Festival, this Park City staple will offer “The Cellar Experience Wine Dinner”; a 5-course dining event that spotlights the “culinary prowess of Riverhorse on Main, along with the hands-on farmers and small-production vintners from Russian River Vineyards”.

Each course will be curated by Riverhorse chef Seth Adams, and will be paired with Russian River Vineyards’ single-vineyard wines from the Russian River Valley of Sonoma County, CA. Mike Mekjian of Russian River Vineyards will be the featured speaker of the evening. Tickets are priced at $255 per person.

Viking Yurt

Every night through Saturday, April 5th, from 5.45 p.m.

There’s still a little time left to enjoy this uniquely Utah dining experience. Each night of the week, 40 guests depart for a 25-minute sleigh ride up to the rustic yurt and are greeted with a welcoming mug of hot Glogg.

A 6-course dinner of traditional Nordic fare follows, including soup, salad, braised beef short ribs, spiralized beets, Jarlsberg mashed potatoes, savory winter vegetables, a curated cheese course, and dessert. Viking Yurt’s unforgettable fine dining experience, coupled with its signature sleigh ride, gives guests an intimate encounter with the spring mountain landscape. Price is $225 per person.

Dutch King’s Day

April 26th, 11.00 a.m. – 5.00 p.m.

The Old Dutch Store and Dutch Club of Utah present Salt Lake City’s 4th annual Dutch King’s Day, a celebration of Dutch culture and traditions. On Saturday, April 26, Koningsdag (or King’s Day) is celebrated across the world with the biggest celebration being in Amsterdam where millions of visitors and locals wear orange to celebrate King Willem Alexander’s birthday at the world’s largest street party. Wear orange and party like the Dutch at Salt Lake City’s fun, free and family-friendly event!

#WearOrange with Dutch DJ Marc van Brabant

Although the flag of the Netherlands is red, white and blue, orange is the color of the royal family. Dress code is orange, orange and more orange. Dutch DJ Marc van Brabant lays the tracks for an orange dance party at Dutch King’s Day!

Dutch Cuisine and Local Brews

King’s Day would not be complete without authentic Dutch Cuisine: Pommes Frites, Chicken Satay, Stroopwafels, Tompouce, Kroketten, and Gehaktballen (meatballs) are just a few of the items to explore at the festival. The bar (21+, ID required) will feature the Dutch staple, Heineken, among others as well as mimosas to support the ORANGE theme. 

King’s Day Craft and Vintage Market 

Browse the vendor stalls for uniquely Dutch finds like bikes, orange attire, vintage, crafts, fresh flowers and butterfly kits.

New this year, the Kinder Flea Market, noon – 3 pm, embodies the community spirit of Dutch King’s Day in Amsterdam. Kids ages 6 – 16 are invited to host a sale, share and manage a carnival game or perform at the festival.

DECORATE ORANGE! Bike Parade (Fietstocht) at 2 pm

Did you know there are more bicycles than residents in Holland? Decorate orange and join our annual aBike Parade (Fietstocht). Lap the skate loop at Millcreek Common to show the Dutch how much Utah loves to cycle! All ages welcomed; prizes for oldest and youngest riders, best decorations and more.

Love Your Legacy Booth

Love Your Legacy invites all attendees to this Photo Opp to share messages to loved ones, stories, and mementos of the immigration experience. This community-based installation can be found at the Dutch Social Club booth during the festival. 

Millcreek Common

Dutch King’s Day Fest returns to Millcreek Common. What’s better than dancing to Dutch tunes? Roller Skating! Millcreek is offering free admission to the skate loop and climbing wall during festival hours. Bring your own skates or rent a pair from the Adventure Hub to enjoy the festival on 8 wheels. Don’t miss special performances by Millcreek’s Skate Legends!
