Dog friendly bar and restaurants in SLC – 2024

Provided you take your pup to an approved business in Utah, there are plenty of bars and restaurants that will welcome you both onto their patio. In Salt Lake County businesses need to apply for a special permit from the health department. Once approved they can serve you outside on appropriate patio space, provided the following rules are met:

  • Dogs must be on-leash
  • Dogs may not be on tables or chairs
  • Dogs should be given water in a disposable container,
  • Dogs may not eat food
  • The patio must be accessible from outside, dogs can’t enter via an indoor dining space

The following list are all the current bars and restaurants we presently know of (data from the health department) that allow pets on their patios. Please do call businesses directly before your visit to triple check they are still licensed. For other al fresco spots in town see our general restaurants with patios list.
