You’re invited to Laziz Kitchen’s first ever fundraiser event benefitting the Utah Refugee Education & Traning Center’s Culinary Kitchen project.
Join us for an evening of shared stories and delicious food in celebration of *NEW* Americans – those that arrived as immigrants or refugees. We’ll be joined by 4 refugee families who will be sharing their stories.
You’ll enjoy delicious appetizers and small plates from Laziz Kitchen, along with a cold brew while you enjoy an open house style mix and mingle. PLUS you’ll get a taste of 4 different dishes from each of the families that will be joining us – a classic dish from their country!
Proceeds will benefit the upcoming Culinary Kitchen Project by the Utah Refugee Education & Traning Center, a non-profit space dedicated to helping underserved youth and refugees develop a commercial kitchen skills to take them into the professional culinary world. The Culinary Training Program is a 9-month apprenticeship-based model providing participants with the skills to thrive and find employment that fosters both economic stability and career developement.
